April 22. Sir Henry Parkes' Australian Investment Company has been formed m Edinburgh, with a capital of one million sterling. A large number of shares have already been taken up, and it is stated that one-fourth of the required sum lms been subscribed. Sir Henry Parkes sails for Australia towards the end of May. . .. . Messrs Alexander, Boyle, Midwiuter, and Murdoch, members of the Australian cricket team, have arrived m London. Mi' Murdoch is suffering from a cold. Mi* Hely Hutchison has received the appointment of Lieutenant-Gorernor of Malta, ■" . - .;.
