"Fancy another newspaper m Woodville! The old dame -further states that the new paper will likely be run m the interests of a certain aspiring. Conservative candidate for Waipawa constituency, but of this nothing definite is known at present. However, I am pretty certain of 'ibis : that to attempt another newspaper m the bush •would be a wanton Waste of * good cask which a man might utilise to ; better advantage. The idea appears to,niy mind ridiculoun, yet I believe J from current reports that there is a foundation for the rumour." .W/e iced scarcely say thai the above, rumour is absolutely without foundation m actual fact, or oven the region -of possibilities. In fact, it is simply an idle "yam," circulated^^with spoie object or other m view that is not/ at present apparent, but that may come'to Ihe smface hereafter. !
