Jiidoe Johnston m his charge, referred briefly to the great frequency of forgery case.*, and_ ! then at great length expluihed the law as affecting. the charge against Mrs Rdil, who is,, suppose^.tp be oi unsound miud, for the murder of her children. The following sentences were delivered atMJie . Supreme ., Court to-day : — David -Howard Moncriefi v y> forgery, three years' penal servitude ; Cornelius Fuchs Corrigan, forgery, three yoars' penal servitude;: ■Alexander McMillan, forgery, ibur years' imprisonment; and Frank- p.. Sale, for horse stealing 1 , twelve months'; i imprisonment. Sentence on Chariest Kowes who pleaded guilty to an indictment for stealing letters, was deferred till Friday next.- :
