THE ENTERTAINMENT.
(to the EDrrba of -*Ha standard). ij SiBJ— I was one of ;1 those who visited the Foresters* Hall -last; night, expecting i A decent entertainment. I consider those who ■ went there were shamefully taken m. After' the farce, the audience waited for the grand play which hud been announced, I but nothing of the kind. Same aottge were " sung," and then the audience were told that one of tho companj had "missed his passage by the train" and so the piece" could not be given.; If this is not an impadent breach of faith with the public 1 never heard of one, before. Tn many places I have been m there would ; have been a tow, and the iuoney wpuW h-ive been demanded back. The management must have known all along; the piece would not be produced, but'tbey never let the public know it. Ido not wonder the public are chary of bestowing their patronage on these so-called entertainment. — I any &c. ; — ': - Pla.y-3oee.
