The Two-Headed Girl. Atrocious Outrage. Suicide of a GirlA Rew •' Rain-Bringer." [Specially Compiled for the Evening^ Post.] [Pci 1 s.s. Hauroto.] Sydney, April 9. The " two headed girl " was brought before the Police Magistrate at Bat* hurst yesterday and charged with beIm"'' an indecent exhibit." The proprietor of the show m which she was. exhibited was sentenced to three days' imprisonment. The exhibit was not forfeited. The Police Magistrate ex- ' pressed; hi* 'surprise that the Sydney police did not suppress the exhibition. I At the Tamworth Assiies, John; i Green (a young jockey), and Thomas Waning (an elderly man), who was' accessory to the crime, were found guilty of having committed a rape upon,; a girl 16 yesirs of age. They were sentenced to deaih. Mr Justice^ Faucett observed that a sadder "and more wretched case had never beenbrought under his notice. He held out no hope of mercy. \ A painful sensation was created last* evening a' Lithgbw, when it was dis-i covered 'hat a ! gifli named Bridget! :Kennedy, 15 years of age, had coinjmit ed suicide by-' hanging hei'seelf. ;Sho resided with her parents near the 1 ' Hermitage. Those who, have met them speak of their position and their reputation m the [highest terms. Lady Lock was one of the beauties of her day! It appeals that the new Governor has been to this colony before, as far back as £1850, m company with Mr Steawart "Worth-y, now Lord Whamcliffe. He came from' India for the benefit of his health ; he completely recovered, and was enabled before leaving Melbourne to enter fuljy into social enjoyment.. He is. connected by marriage with the Marquis of Normanby, the present Governor of the coioriy. .
