The Wairarapa-Adelaide Enquiry.
The WairaTapa- Adelaide enquiry was continued to-day. Witnesses who were on b'fiari the Union steamship confirmed the evidence taken at Dunedin. Moult, engineer, corroborated the statement that the remark made by Mills regarding a race was merely jocular. Other witnesses denied that the Wairarapa waited for the Adelaide and blamed the 1-ad 'steering of tho latter vessel; Mills' the Union Ooiri;>'iiiy's agenl testified that hu never amm^ed for a race between the iwu vessels and that the statement ol Tnrnbul', the Adelaide's agent to contrary w.us incorrect. The enquiry stands udj >urned until to-morrow whon Messrs Gillies and Kerford who were among tlie passengers will be examined.
