NEW RAILWAY TARIFF.
: ( UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) 1 Wellington, March 10. The ne*v railway tariff, which comes into force on the 17th March, increases passengers' f»res about ten per cent, outside of a radius of ten miles from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Qunedin, and Invercargill. Freight -lates, while not ao high as those p£ JBBO, are higher than those oJt'-th& present tariff, aud the total increase is expected to yield £150,000 extra jer annum.
