' iHerald.] . ;.,.•• Mrs Jd[pore; delivered last Sunday night an. eloquent lecture on Spirit'dalism before the Freethought Asaociationi The lecturer made a strong appeal not to allow prejudice to prevent the fair and impartial ..investigation of the phenomena, on the ground that^they did not harmonise with previous ex* pefiencexj She showed that some of the greatest minds pf the age had accepted Spiritualism as true, and been con^ vinced that itj had a^ scientific basis. Mrs Moore said that by the light of Spiritualism many of the obscurities of the past, both ; m the and m history, were made clear. Spiritualism established the immortality of the T soul, the immediate presence of the spirits of the departed encouraging, and defending their friends on, earth..' .: lts phenomena had been subjected to tbe severest tests, and eight millions of believers m America bore testimony ,to its truth.
