THE DRILL HALL.
The additions and improvements to the Voluqteer Drill Hall have .been : mainly cavried out with a view to render the building suitable for volunteer social gatherings, for ; which the Foresters 1 Hall has been held to be inconvenient and undesirable m many; respects.' ( The volunteers 'hti-ve'had on more than one occasion to complain of the high figure demanded for the night's use of the Foresters' Hall, together with an additional charge of incidental damages, &uch as broken lamp chimneys said to have been caused. The Volunteers can m futur« hold their festive gatherings m their o\vn buildings with : out; th&hea vyr attendant expense hither- 1 to incurred, for vent and breakages. The side-rooms now being erected will afford every requisite convenience m connection with such assemblies.
