Tt has been ascertained that no lows of life occurred from the hurricane recently experienced m North Queensland. The Freezing works near Bowen are completely destroyed, and it is feared there has been a wreck on Gloucester Island, off Edgcunibe Bay. The storm had a most extensive ftont and serious floods are reported m many parts of North Queensland. Hundreds of persons at Bowen are m a state of destitution.
