ST. P ATRICK'S CHURCH.
The congregations at both services at this place of worship yesterday numerous, the Rev. Father McManus,: the newly-appointed clergyman, ' delivering forcible discourses on jthe subject of « The Holy Name,'* enlarging upon the Tespect and reverence which should attach to it. He announced that m future Mass wo'ild be celebrated at 11 a.m. on ths first and third Sundays in' each month, and at B : a.m. on the fourth Sunday. Father McManus expressed his regret that the attendance of childien at the Sunday School| was not so large and regular as he would like to see it. Ho hoped that m future parents would endeavour 10 let their children attend with greater punctuality. It iwas announced that there would be contession on Saturday next at 3 p.m. for women and children, and-7 p.m. for flsen. Father McManus' ministrations are already appreciated by the congregations m his district, and his influence is generally recognized as likely to be beneficially felt as he becomes batter acquainted with ithe individaal members" of bis ffoeic," who already entertain a sincere regard) for their minister, hiy devotion to his sacked duties, and practical zeal* in his calling, being apparent even to those outside t the Catholic body. ■. . \ ;
