ADDRESS TO BISHOP NEVILLE.

(united pre*B association.) DuNEDtN, January 17. The Governor attended at the Church of England gathering held m Garrison Hall to welcome Bishop Har-' per,.and delivered an address. At the close of the meeting the folowing letter was handed to Bishop Neville : — " We, the cle'gy of Dunedin. and suburbs, have seen, wiih much regret, tie persistent attacks that have been made upon you by anonymous waiters m a portion of the local, Press. We are of opinion that the statements to which we particularly refer are contrary to facts, and that your lordship has not by your conduct, driven ariv clergyman out of this diocese, or tried to introduce changes of ritual into any church, contrary to the wishes of the clergyman or the vestry."
