Horses : The supply has been up to requirements for light hacks, -but for carnage horses, 'bus horses, and good quick medium draughts the inquiry has been brisk, and not sufficient brought forward. The yards were fairly filled/and prices (especially for faU-grow* steers) were fully maintained. At - the Junction Yards, on Tuesday, store stock were well represented, also a good number of dairy stock, and for good quality, hi*h prices, were given. The beef market was well supplied, and for choice oxen, there was a considerable improvement m liist week's prices. For calves, yearlings, and dry cows, no perceptible aUeiation m value. For good fresh steers, there is constant enquiry at from £4 10s to £6. Sheep, m good supp.y, and though scarcely up to requirements, sold at : for wethers, from los 6d to 18s; fat ewes, Us to 16slambs II full supply, and sold at 4s 3d to Us Gd ; pigs searpe^d .demand for porkers good.
