Destruction Amongst Yachts and Boats (BY TKLBGKAPH.) (UNITED PEBSS ASSOCIATION.) ! Wellington, January 15. A furious N. W. gale set m last night and it is still .blowing a hurricane with such force as to suspend all- shipping, business. No seri our damage is reported. The yacht "Petis " and the cutter " Day's Bay " were driven ashore. The former is bumping rather heavily against some iof the trestle work. Numerous chimuey pots, fences, and sheets of galvanized iron have been lowered, also two or three sheds and the roof of the Naval Brigade boat shed, was taken off. 1 One verandah is completely wrecked. Fortunately- no One was passing at the time. There are no signs of sibatement and the ghvs still low.
