FROM AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON ON A BICYCLE.

(by tblegbajph.) (united press association.) Wellington, January 10. Mr Fitton of Fitton and Service, Auckland, rode from Auckland to Masterton on a bicicyle. He intended to ride to Wellington, but on reaching Masterton two of the spokes gave Out, and he had to come to Wellington by 1 train to have it repaired, as he did not think the machine would stand goingover the Rimntaka. He left by train for Featherston yesterday morning, and intended to leave Featherston this morning and ride to New Plymouth, and take the steamer there to Auckland. 1 He left Auckland on Xmas Day and came into Wellington on Monday night.
