MYSTERIOUS DEATH.

—joo;— (united press association.) Wellington, This Day. A melancholy fatality occurred at nino o'clock last night. Mr Jacob Monteith, a well-known and highly respected chemist, carrying on business m this city, was supplying some medicine to a customer, when he complained of being seized with a sudden pain. He retired for a moment, and not reappearing 1, search was made, and he was found m the yard vomiting and m great pain. He was removed, and medical aid seni for, but M r Monteith died m a few minutes. The cause of death js at present unknown, but a poatinprtem will be made today.
