1 Horrible Murder at, Maori Creek. [UNITBD PRESS i SBOCIATICN.7 Gretmoijth, January 6. The body of James Gifford was found on the road at Maori Creek (Duiganville) this morning, stabbed to death. There were two deep scabs on the chest, one bad one on the neck, besides two smaller wounds. He was stabbed also m a number of other -places. The cries of a man for help ■were heard m the direction of the murder last night at about 11.80 o'clock. He was a witness against Morton m the notorious case of stealing gold at Maori Creek. A man's hat and knife were found close to the body, as if the murderer ran away m a hurry. /There is no suspicion r of anyone at present.
