LARRIKINISM IN WANGANUI.
(Chronicle.) ' Larrikinism m Waugiinui seems to be as much an eoideniic us hoopingcough, catapults, children's performj ances at the theatre, lectures on Freethoughi, or earthq«iakos. The town is suffering from the epidemic very budly just now, and it seems out of the power of the police to devise a remedy of even administer relief. The latest instances of'the ontbieak occurred at the ? top of the Avenue"on Niew Tear's night, n-hen the front -gates of several residences were lifted off their binges and deposited m the roadway. In one case the hot ses were let out of a paddock opposite tho High School, and ane of them,_ belonging to a Maxwelltown reaiderit, has not since been heard of.
