Mr'Hogben, of Ohiistchuich, one on "The Connection between Primary ond Secondary Schools." , JRev. T. Flanell, Christchurch, one on " Corporal Punishment." In regard to the latter the general expression of opinion was that the rod was a necessary power m reserve to be used. seldom and with discretion.
