THE WOOL SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have resumed their series of wool auctions after the holidays. The catalogue : today comprised 4000 bales, the bulk consisting of small parcels of medium, to inferior wools. There was a large i attendance of buyers, and brisk competition was experieeced. -Choice knd medium wools are m good demand, and prices are- firmly maintained. Nearly all loAS Sold at satisfactory prices, but owing to the length of the catalogue parcels of scoured and fleece have been held over until to-morrow, -
