STEVENS AND GORTON'S REPORT.

At our sale at Awahuri yesterday, 309 head of cattle and -500 sheep were yarded. We were unfortunate m the weather, the attend«nce consequently was not so large as usual and the bidding was dull, but several lots were quitted at the following rates :— 2£ to 3-year-old steers, from, 5s to £i ss ; 3-yeav-old steers, m low oondition, £3 10s; 2 year-old steors, £3 "2s ; cows, £2 2s 6d; yearlings, £1 10<; calves, ,: 22s 6d; hoggets, iv the wool, 10s. A •j splendid pen- of fat cows and two good >: ppn.s of fat wethers were passed mat '! £1 and Xl^ respectively, the butchers being full up.
