IN THE MATTER OF "THE i PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882. NOTICE is hereby given that itis proposed by ihe Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Manawatu County, to execute a certain Public Work under the Provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882," to wit : !he construction of a County road through certain blocks of land known as blocks I and V, situated m the Kiarianga survey district, m t&e Provincial District of Wellington, the land to be taken being part of the fection No 346, m the said survey district, and also through blocks No. V and VIII m the Kiaranga and Tc Kawa survey districts, m the said Provincial Dis trict, the land to be taken being another portion of the said section No 346, and for the purposes of such Public Works, the land described m the schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given, that a copy of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the Public Post Office, Awahuri, m the County aforesaid, and it w there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hoiirs. And notice is further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said Public Work or by the taking of the said land, shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said Public Wo«k, or to the taking of tbe said land, set forth the same m writing .and send such writinor within forty days from the first puV>lication of this notice to " The Chairman, Goimciiioi's, and Inhabitants of the Manawatu County aforesaid, at their ofuces'aforesaid m Liddel-street, m the town oJ Foxton aforesaid. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement fourteen acres, one rood, and twenty-eight perches, more or less, situate m the Kiaranga survey district blocks 1 & V, Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of section 'o. 346, commencing at a point distant 152.7 links m v north-westerly direction from the north-east corner of the property of Mr Thomas Fraser, part of section No. 346, thence south-westerly through the property of Mr Thomas Fraser, section No. 346, for a distance of 109.7 links, thenco on a south-westerly direction along the boundaries of Mr Thomas Fraser and Alexander McDonald, section No 346, for a distance ot 13,348; thence m a South Easterly direction, along the boundary of Douglas Block, for a distance oi 105.5 links; thenec North Easterly 13,324 links, through the property oi Mr A. McDonald, No 346; thence North Easterly 3-59.2 links, through the property of Mr T.
