The. defendant pleaded entire ignorance of having broken the law. neighbours' quarrel. r .Mrs Rerkenshaw sued Mrs; Hall oh "a charge of assault^ Mr Hawkins appeared for complainant This-was a. trifling affair, which f -£ad its origin in' a quarrpl betweenythe 'children of the par ties* ; Casedisinissed, defendant cautioned as to her future behavior. CLAIK EOR SUPPORT., M. Martensen v. H.Goodison. This was a spit^under- "The Broach of Destitute Persons Act,1877," m neglecting to provide for the support of an illegitimate child. Order made to - pay £1 per month. First payment to be made on the Ist of February. j A large number of civil cases were also dealt with.
