The practice of riding over the Fitzherbert Bridge at a pace faster than a walk through a dangerous and reprehensible one, is far too common, and will undoubtably result in accident some day. A meeting of the Manawatu Acclimatizition Society is convened at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Mr Linton's Office. Mr Remington, chemist, is in receipt by last direct steamer of some very choice articles specially imported for the summer season, which should command a ready and extensive sale. The new time-table for Cobb & Co's coaches apppears elsewhere, to which the attention of travellers is directed.
