Siv,— The increasing importance of export of f re-sh meat from Australia to England having, been noticed m the agricultural paper of Berlin, His Highness Prince Bismarck is desirous of saining some information about tho development of this industry up to now^ Jn order to make the information which ' I have been called upon to furnish as complete as possible, 1 have the honour ; to request you kindly to favour me with i a detailed report on the subject In i particular T beg you to stated minutely ' the price of meat m New Zealand, the ; cost ot trasporting it to England and • eventually Germauy, and the cost of the procedure foi preserving it." ,
