A Scotch printer, celebrated m his neighbourhood (New Zealand) for his immense strength and skill m all athletic exercises, very frequently had the pleasure of fighting people who> led by curiosity, came to try if they could settle him or not. Harry B , a great amateur pugilist, had come from Sydney on purpose to fight the athletic Scotch printer. The latter was working m an enclosure at a little distance from his house when the Loble Barry arrived. Barry tied his horse to a tree and addressed the printer, " Aye, my old friend, I have beard a great deal of talk abont you, and I've come along way to see which of us is the best man." The printer, without answering, seized the noble Harry by the body, pitched him over the 1 hedge, and then set about working again. When noble Harry had got up, the fat printer said, " Well, have r y6u anything more to say to me ?" "No," "but perhaps you'd k© goo«*^ enough to throw me my horse." |0[
