WASTE LANDS BOARD.
m The ordinary fortnightly meeting of j the Wellington Wasve JLands Board : was held on Thursday. Applications were received lot leave to transfer the license for deferred payment sections 38 follows :— -Patrick Kerrigan, section 41, Block XIII., Pohangina, to Samuel Blake. It was resolved that the application be granted, subject to the usual conditions. A letter was received frpm the Chairman of the Manawatu Highway Board, again urging the Board's claim to 20 per cent from the sale of section 443, JPalmerston North, when it shall be sold. It was resolved tc| acknowledge the receipt of. the -letter: The Chairman reported that on informing the Treasury ofthe Board's approval ofthe expenditure of £149 Os 8d within BlocksVl', and X., Kaimnga, the Treasury stated that £92 13s 4d was the amount at credit and available for those blocks. As the Manawatu Highway Board has contracted for tho expbnditute of £149 Os 8d it was resolved to approve of the appropriation of the required balance, viz., £56 7s 4d as provided by section 59 of the Land Act 1&77, out of-pay ments yet to be received from selectors m the blocks named.
