"If! , : is . JofljLcially announced m the ■Gazette that certain regulations with respeot' to the sale of particular poisons shall come into force and take effect 'from 1 and after to-morrow. For the information of our readersr-the subject being one that they shonid be conversant with— -we append the. regular tions as gazetted. They are as follows:— : £ : 1. « The Sale of Poisons Aot, 1871," "is hereinafter referred 'to as " the said 2. It shall not be lawful for any person to sell or dispose of strychnine i or arsenic m any quantities unless such person shall previous to 'making the Sntry required by the provisions of the. twelfth section of the said Act, obtain 'from the intending purchaser of sucb^ Btryohnine or arsenic a>. statutory ide-^ ; claration. setting forth the particulars hereafter mentioned, immediately npon completion of the > urchase, the 'seller of such poison .shall foward such statutory declaration to the Hegistrar of th^ district appointed under the said j Act. 3. Every snch' declaration anall ; state ' precisely ( 1 ) the Christain name and surname of the intending purohaser^tifull length, together witi£ ? his; or her|oc|upatidn and address ;| (2) the exact^ quantity and name of the poison required ; and ( 3) the express purpose or purposes for which siich poison is alone intended to be used, and the places or localities wherejthe . same is to be used or deposited respectively. «: It is intended, we believe, that these 1 regulations shali> be '■ stringently ■ en- , forced every where.
