PHOTOGRAPHIC ROOMS.
We had the pleasure of being shown over Mr Beran's Photographic Btttdio m . Woodville, -a day or two .aga, and mast express oaraelvea greatly surprised at what we saw. Mr Bevan appears to, be sparing no expense m ob taining the latest improvements and patents procurable, m order to enable him to turn but good work. He has on view some rea'ly excellent pictures of the famous Manawatn liorge, and the > bridge, together with numerous others of high class. His photographs are taken bj the instantaneous process, and his implements are so fitted, or arranged, as to give him extraodinary facilities for securing good pictures of evuu; most restless sitters. The patent pneumatic shutter is employed m taking instantaneous, pictures of children, and certainly, it is a great improTement on- the "old-?chool" system of photography. Mr Bevan has, perhaps, the best gallery to be found withio a long distance, ■ the whole work . of ! which he has performed; himself. < -- - ■■ \
