We are rUo* to be able to report that although there is not rayon advance m the price* ot cattle, yefc there is a marked im* provemeutin the general tone of the market. There is a decided rise^m the price of fat sheep all of which were sold at auction, and excited rather keen competition Most of the cattle were also sold under the hammer. Fat Cows realised W 19s to L& Is ; ? and 3*-year-old bullocks, Li is to L 47s 6d ; store cows, low condition, 38s f 15 to 18 months steers, L 2 Ss. Fat -Sheep— Wether*, 15s 6d to I6s 3d; fat sheep, mixed, 13s 8d to Issßd' store wethers, 'lis 3d 'to Us7d; hoggets, fe 2d ; one small pen of fat ewes, special weights, brought 18i 7d,
