T*o STAND THIS SEASON m the J_ Manawatu and Rangitikei Districts, the Thorough-bred horse MUFTL The attention of breeders is solicited to the pedigree of this most fashionably bred horse, who is now m his prime and m splendid condition. MUFTI is by '.the premier stallion, Traduoer, who has for the last three seasons stood at 100 guineas a mare. Traducer's stock have everywhere per* formed creditably, and include such noted animals as Lurline, Calumny, Le Loup, Betrayer, Trump Card, Fishhook, and others. TradHcer's pedigree is a very brilliant one, as it includes all the most valued strains of the English stud for the last century. On the dam's side Mufti is also remarkably well connected, being out of Flat Iron by Peter Flat— Emma by Gil Bias— Emily by Operator —Flora Mclvor by Roused Emigrant, <fee. Peter Flat was one of the most successful performers that has left England, and possesses a splendid pedigree (see fatud Book). Flora Mclvor was one of the best mares ever, foaled m Australia, and her descendants are always eagerly sought after by breeders and racing . men. Flora Mclvor was the grand dam of Figari, Bay Middleton, Cossack, Nutwitb, Zoe, and Waimea— the latter being the dam of Manuka, Toi Toi, and others. Toi Toi is the dam of Kakapo, Harakeke — dam of Korari, Totara — sire of Longlands, Papapa.Raina Rama, and other well- known performers. It will thus be seen that Mufti is well worthy of the patronage of breeders 'who wish to keep to racing strains. Mufti is a golden chestnut, standing 15 hands 3 inohes high and is splendidly proportioned, and of excellent constitution. Mufti's racing performances are too well known to require any reference here. Terms : — Single mares, £5 ss ; extra mares as. per agreement.
