The evidence given so far goes to prove that there was no fault m the construction of the vessel, and that the mishap was due to neglect on the part of the officers. Five towns m the County of Tipperary are gazetted as requiring additional constables for the preservation of peace. At New York, a lunatic, and Irishman, fired a revolver within the British consulate. No one was injured, and the madman was arrested.
