A Swindle Exposed.
(UNITBD PBKSS ASSOCIATION.) Dunbdin, September 21. A case came before the Resident , Magistrate's Court to-day m which Mr Wright, proprietor of xhe Australian and American Directory, sued a cus*tomer for £2 25., prici of, the work. The defence was that the information m the work: had been collected m 1879, thus rendering the difectory comparatively useless, and that a false label bearing the date 1883*4 had been pasted over the figures, 1882, originully printedon the cover.-; The Resident Magistrate said the thing was a gross deceit, and gave judgment for the defendant. ' '
