The Melbourne Herald has entered upon a new line, having, it appears, employed a private detective for the past three, months to ferret, out the various questionable sweeps, and* to ex* pose tb.em m a series of articles under the somewhat sensational beading of 11 Melbourne Turf Frauds, by the Herald Detective: Swindling Sweeps, and the i Sweeps who Swindle." . The ;first one whom the 'detective takes to task is "Orient,-' and m very plain langu ago tells the public that the sweeps pro* mo ted by that person are nothing Short of swindles.
