THE BOROUGH ELECTION.
To- Morrow the burgesses of Palmer- ] ston will be called on to elect three Councillors. There are eight candidates to choose from, all of whom are well' known to the ratepayers, viz., Messrs S. Abrahams, J. Milverton, E. W. Perkins, Gt. M, S nelson, A. Stewart, J. Vivian, L. G. West, and H. Wolierman. The only gentleman who seeks re-election is Mr G. M. Snelson, who has "ever taken a warm and deep in* tore9t m all matters connected with the advancement and progress of not only the township, but the whole district. The other candidates, although perhaps new to publio life, are men whose names are well known to their fellow-burgesses. During the term of office of those who are elected, they will, have to consider and decide on matters 9 which will have an important bearing on tha proopooto of this comparsf ively young, growing, and thriving township, and we are certain the electors will do their duty by " placing the right men m the right place."
