Mysterious Case.
ALLEGED CHILD-MUIIOER. Detectiye, Benjamin, of Wellington* and tfonstaole ; Motley, ,of Woodville, hare been m the district making inquiries as to the man Williams, who, it is | alleged by J osephine Green, has possession of the child, with the murder of which she now stands charged. All their inquiries have failed to elicit any information whatever concerning the man. Detective. Benjamin returned to Wanganui, and Constable Motley has gone on to Hawera to institute farther inquiries into the mysterious case.
