Serious Accident.
♦ ... NARROW ESCAPE. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. — COPYRIGHT.) (redter's TELEGRAMS/) G-eymouth, August 30. An accident occurred at Hiver View near Ahaura, m the claim of John Thomas and William Recce, Whilst standing at the head of the claim, the bank gfave way, preoipitating both 60ft, almost perpendicularly. Thomas was covered up, shi Recce, who escaped uninjured, obtained _ assistance. Thomas , when extricated, was found seriously crushed on the head and baok, and was brought down m a canoe to the Hospital.
