SMART EARTHQUAKE. (BY TELEGRAPH.) (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Patea, This Day. The extension of the line from Waverley to Manntahi was opened yesterday. It was celebrated by a procession down to the station, whioh was decorated for the occasion. An excellent luncheon was given. A orowded 1 excarsion train ran m the afternoon to Manutahi and back, and a ball brought the day to a close. A sharp shock of earthquake was felt at 430 this morning.
