Victor .St* Paul, has placed a thousand pounds at the disposal' of the Academy of Medicine of Paris, which sum is to be awarded to the person who succeeds m convincing the membors of the Academy that be has really found an infallible qure for the disease mentioned. The prize is to be given to anyone deserving of it, no matter- what his- nationality or calling may be ; and while it remains without a claimant tbe interest of the capital is to be allowed' to accumulate, so as to form a prize of encouragement to be awarded every three years to those persons whose researches m the matter are co nsidered to have merited a reward.
