Timako, August 28. i The Winchester and Orari Hole's, about 17 and 21 miles respectively from Timaro, were broken into on Tuesday night, and a large quantity of liquor, stolen from the bars of each. No; arrests have been made yet. 1 Auckland, August 24. The police proceeded to-day against the! landorfo of the Scotia and Globe hotels for selling liquor adulterated with' wafer. The evidence showed that the rum was half water. A number of technical objections were taken, and the Bench reserved its decision.
