[Herald Correspondent.] * The Counties Act Amendment bill passed the second reading, and the Land Acts Amendment bill next occupied the attention id the House m Committee. A manifest desire is shown by allparties to bring the session to a speedy close, and although there are rumours of wars to come, very little credence can be attached thereto.
