Wind between north-east and northwest m both isiauds. Barometer fall at all stations within 12 hours. Sea heavy on western coast, and between Napier and Lottelton. Warnings for. northerly gales and heavy rain within 12 hours have been sent to all places *outhol Napier and New Plymouth, and later at a 1 other places. Synopsis of last 24 hours,: —There was a further fall of the barometer at all. places north of Napier and New Plymouth until near midnight, and since then it has risen steadily. Rain has fallen heavily a t most of the Middle Island stations, but the weather has been 'fine everywhere northward of Napier and New Plymouth. R. A. Edwin.
