Raina's Panorama.
Rainer's great panorama of the American War wa3 exhibited for tbe < first time m Palmerston on Saturday evening. The Foresters' Hall was *] crowded m every part, and the illustrd- -i lions of the various scene? garo^iiln-' mense satisfaction, if we are to judge by the numerous demonstrations of applause. Mr Stewart, the lecturer, gave a history of. the great rebellion as the pictures passed betore the public m review. During the course of the evefi^ ' iug tbe baud discoursed sweet music, < . and S' ngs were reudered by various members of the troupe, one gentlemaiT ' being vociferously encored. At the conclusion a number of presents were given away^ including fotir pieces of a silver coffee service, which becaoue tue; property ot Mrs Weeks, of Awapiini. This evening the panorama will be again presented to the public, and no doubt to a full house. j
