The Dubbo Despatch says :— "Thpy tell us Qt, a certain metroplitiari worthy, with more money than brains, who had, j*Mor » wonder, the whole Bench to himself one morning. Looking down the ehe*t be said to the attendant "trap. "CaUßegina v. Jones."' Thd bine called the case three times, and a dapper, evidently earnest little fellow came up to the table. "Who are you?' said the J. P. "I »m Jones, an' please your Worship." Wbere's Begina?" said the magistrate.: The constable attempted to explain, but the heak^cut him short by saying. " Yen called him three times, be doet-n't appear. Jones, you're discharged." 'Ihey s»y the watch-house sergeant carefully enters his case now, «« The Queen against so and so."
