Sir Henry Parkes,who is now m London, is making arrangements with the Jrie.t Company tor the despatch of a large number of immigrants to thia colony by the Orient Liners. _ H M.S Nelson has arrived here from the New Hebrides Islands. Melbourne, August 4. The Captain of the steamer Pathaa interviewed Mr J* s Serrioe to-day and tjrotested strongly against the actioD of the Government m prerenting the landing of the Irish informers, who *ere passengers by the Pathan. His efforts were, however, without avail, and he has since refused to supply food or water to the police who are stationed on board fche vessel. The Government will come co a final decision m the matter on Mona day, and meanwhile the " Invisibles " will be compelled to remain under police supervision on board the steamer.
