Sudden Death.
■:'--:~.W ■'.■ ■•»-■ * ~- T~ ' An awful case of sudden death occn "ed at the Steamboat Restaurant, Wellfngto,n,i. oh Monday afternoon, the victim being a miner named Alfred Butcher j aged 45 or 50 years, who only arrived from Grey mouth pethe s.s. Grafton on Sunday last. The deceased, it appears, wes sitting on his bed talking with a fellow* lodger, when be suddenly fell back and expired. Dr Hutchison was promptly/ m attendance j but that gentlemen on his arrival pronounced death to have already taken place. Butcher, it seems, was on his way to Melbourne, and since his arrival here had consulted JDr Diver, who gave a certificate that death was caused by heart disease.
