Sir,— l was very pleased to see your article !in last night's issue, on the fire insurance tariff, and hope something will come of the agitation tor a reduction in the present extortionate rates, which are downright robbery. I hope that should an Australian or English 'Company be induced to open business on the West Coast, the whole district will be loyal, and put all the business it can in Us way, as encouragement for its enterprise.
