It is sup- ' posed he entered the river to tarn back some cattle he was- bringing to town and was swept away. - Nelson, This Day. The cutter Planet, which was stranded during the bad weather a- few days ago, has been laancead and brought to Nelson for repairs which are not of a serious character. ..... .... WELLitfGTOH, This Day. Arrived— Ship Oxford, Captain Seymour, 87 days from London. She has gone into quarantine, typhoid fever having broke out during the passage, and six of the passengers were laid up with it, three others have died. The names of those who succumbed to the disease are — Jas. Ki!va, aged 26 ; Marion Naylor, aged 16 ; and Mary Port, aged 20. The two last named were among the Wellington passengers.
