To-day's Despatches.
(Bt Telegraph-) (united press association.) Wellington, This Day. The Danedin gaol enquiry resumed this morning, when Mr Connolly, Minister of Justice, and Mr Dick, Colonial Secretary, were examined by Mr Solomon. The former declined to produce communications between Capt. tfume and himßelf, or to repeat conversations between them, as being privileged. M> Dick stated that when he was Minister of Justice m May or June last ye«r the subject of an enquiry had been discussed, but he did not think the matter then ripe.
