(BY BIEDB KYK) On Saturday ihe Palmerston match against Feilding was played. It was a very fairly contested game and after plenty of hard knocks at tbe close of their time each side had scored a try at goal— on the Palmerston side by Paltridge, and on the Feilding side by Booth. A noticeable absence was that neither of the two bands turned out to enliven the. proceeding?, and whose services are always appreciated. We ho c to see several practices and games between the neighbouring teams, as it keeps each side m good form, and prepares them for outside matches. As far as Palmerston goes, tho practices have been very fairly attended, but with a view of keeping our men up to the mark, »s we are gettiDg well into the season it is intended to have scratch matches every Saturday afternoon. Next Saturday the 2lßt instant, should the Halcombe men not accept the challenge it w intended to play the return Alpha* betical match, when the teams are particularly requested to roll up to a man. The yams will be as follow : — A to O. Alabaster?, Allen, Beifit, Charles, Hounslow, Graff, Haultain, Wm Moffatt, J . Moffatt, Mautz, Newman. Pto Z Paltridge, Stallarcl, Salmon, Snow, P. Smith, F. H. Smith, G. Smith, Sheetin, Stiachan, Seaton, Symons, Walker, Wysoski. Any new members or members not mentioned ia the above lists will be very welcome to join, as the club is glad of any assistantance. It is to be hq;ed that the Tradesmen will form a club, should the weekly half-holiday now being agitated for succeed.
